Kidambi Srikanth won the 4th Superseries title 2017 by winning the French Open

1.Kidambi Srikanth won the French Open title in Men’s Singles and he is the first Indian to win four titles in Superseries.

2.To win the title, Srikanth defeated Kenta Nishimoto from Japan.


New Railway line Bidar – Kalaburagi  inaugurated by PM Modi in Karnataka

1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi started a new Railway line at the Bidar Railway station, Karnataka called Bidar-Kalaburagi.

2. The PM also inaugurated the Diesel Electric Multiple Unit(DEMU) service between Kalaburagi & Bidar.

PM of Italy Paolo Gentiloni on a 2-day visit to India

1. Paolo Gentiloni, the Italian Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to India.The objective of the visit is to establish the economic and political relations between Italy and India.

2.The last time Italian visit to India was in 2007.

The government has made the Public Finance Management System necessary for all central schemes

1. The central government has made use of PFMS(Public Finance Management System) necessary all government schemes.

2.The PFMS will make sure that the advantages of government schemes reach the last point.613 central government schemes will come under this.

 

AU Bank tied up with SIDBI to fund MSMEs

1.AU small finance bank has partnered with SIDBI to provide a fund of Rs.200 crore to Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises.

2.All the procedures involving monitoring, disbursement, and recovery will be handled by the AU Bank.

The UN Wildlife summit to be hosted by India in 2020

1.India will host the Global Wildlife UN summit and CMS Conference of the Parties CMSCOP13 IN 2020.


2. Their Future is Our Future – Sustainable Development for Wildlife and People.” was the theme of the conference this year.

Indian Junior team won Bronze at the Johor Hockey cup

1.The Indian Junior hockey team defeated Malaysia by 4-0 in the Johor cup 2017 at Taman Daya stadium, Malaysia and won bronze.

2.Vivek Prasad (11’), Vishal Antil (15’, 25’),  and Shilanand Lakra (21’) made goals to make the team win.

 
Mitali Raj and Virat Kohli on top in the ICC rankings
1.Indian women cricket team captain Mithali Raj occupied the top position in the ICC rankings of the batswomen with 753 points.
2.Indian captain Virat Kohli also bagged the topmost position with 889 points in the batsmen category of ICC ODI rankings.
