1. The GIFT(Global Indian Financial Tech-city) IFSC has received the 10 place in the Global Financial Services Index located in London.

2. GIFT received this place by leaving behind Luxembourg,Abu Dhabi,Toronto ,Seoul, and Beijing.

Meenakshi Temple in Madurai named the “best Iconic Swatch place” in India

1. The Meenakshi temple in Madurai given the title of “Best Iconic Swatch Place” in India.

2. There are only two sweepers and numerous battery operated cleaners around the premises.There are 63 bins,4 trucks,15 water ATMs and 25 e-toilets.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh launches Swatch Andhra Mission.

1. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu launched the Swatch Andhra Mission on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

2. The Badminton Champion PV Sindhu nominated as the Brand ambassador for the Swatch Andhra Mission.

President Ram Nath Kovind appoints a Commission to examine the sub-categorization and extent of inequality of benefits to OBCs

1. A five-member committee has been appointed by the President lead by the chief justice of Delhi High Court G Rohini.


2.The committee will look into the extent to which the benefits have been distributed unequally to the backward castes among OBCs.

 

NHAI has launched the free eye checkup campaign

1.The campaign has been launched by the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari with the aim to ensure Clear Vision and safety of truck drivers while traveling.

2. Under this scheme, the National Highways Authority of India(NHAI) will provide free eye check-up nationwide and distribute spectacles to truck drivers.

Government of Madhya Pradesh starts the Chief Minister’s Skill Promotion and Skills Scheme

1. Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Samvardhan and Kaushalya Yojana implemented by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to provide skill oriented training to the youth that can provide employment.


2. The Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Samvardhan Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Kaushalya Yojana will benefit all youth between 18-35 years of age.The government has invested 30 crore rupees.


India & Nepal will conduct a joint Tiger Count

1.India and Nepal will begin a Joint count of tigers from the second week of November in all its Forests, National parks, and Protected Areas.

2.Tiger is an endangered species mentioned in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

 
YATRA has tied up with OYO to increase its hotels
1.Yatra online has partnered with OYO to increase its hotel inventory and bring it on its platform.
2. With this tie-up , the Yatra portal will have 70,000 hotels in its kitty.
 
 
Jagan Kumar wins the National Motorcycle Championship title sixth time in a row
1.The racing champion Jagan Kumar has won the MRF Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship in Chennai, Tamil Nadu sixth time in a row on a rain-affected day.

2.The event was sponsored by MRF tyres and organized by the Madras Motorsports Club.

 
 The Gravitational Wave Detectors have been awarded the 2017 Nobel Physics award
 1. The 2017 Physics Nobel Prize will be awarded to the Gravitational wave detectors Rainer Weiss, Kip S and Barry C. Barish.
