Venkaiah Naidu lays the foundation stone for country’s first green field city

1. The foundation stone for “country’s first green field smart city” laid by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu in Rachi smart city on the Heavy engineering corporation(HEC) land.

2. The HEC land is 656 acre in size fully wi-fi, garbage free locality with modernized housing, traffic management system, carbon free and an education hub.

68-year old Prince Charles becomes the longest serving Prince of Wales
1. The heir to the British throne, Prince Charles became the longest serving Prince in the History of Wales.He broke the record of Queen Victoria’s son Albert who went on to become King Edward II before becoming a monarch.

2. Prince Charles is the 21st Prince of Wales in the current line. Prince Charles was crowned Prince of Wales when he was nine ,on the 26 of July, 1958. He has been holding he title for more than 59 years.

Bharat Financial Inclusion and IndusInd bank have signed an exclusive agreement for merger

1. The second largest micro-financing company, Bharat Financial Inclusion, and the private sector lender IndusInd bank have agreed to sign an agreement of confidentiality for a merger between them.

2. The IndusInd Bank, a unit of the Hinduja group has made an announcement about an agreement and a proposed merger with the lender company.The deal will finalize after due discussions and the appropriate documentations needed.

BSNL and PNB to release mobile wallet jointly

1.The State run BSNL and Punjab National bank have joined hands to release the mobile wallet speed pay.The PNB wallet will also operate like other mobile wallets that you can use to pay bills and recharge your phone and PNB will also provide facility to withdraw and deposit money through authorized retail stores.

2.Under the speed pay deal BSNL will expand this mobile wallet services to Punjab, Chandigarh(UT), Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand.

 

After Dubai, the second Indian Workers Resource Centre opened in UAE

1.The Indian ambassador in UAE Navdeep Singh Suri inaugurated the second Centre for Indian Workers (IWRC) after the first one in Dubai to help and counsel Indian workers who are in some problem.

2. The organization provides free of cost support and counseling on legal, personal and financial matters to the Indians living overseas.

India signed four pacts with Afganistan in areas of transports and health

1. Sushma Swaraj the External Affairs Minister of India and the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Salahuddin Rabbani signed four agreements in New Delhi.India’s commitment to support Afghanistan as a secure, stable, united and prosperous nation.

2. The four agreements were made in areas of health and transport.The major objective of the agreement was that both nations work towards facing challenges posed by terrorism.

Pakistan-China Air force joint exercise named Shaheen VI began

1.The China and Pakistan Air-forces commenced their joint exercise and released their AWACS(Airborne Warning And Control System) aircraft and latest fighter jets.

2.The exercise will take place in China. AWACS is a mobile, long-range radar surveillance and control center for air defense. 

 
The Advisory committee of SEBI is making discussions to extend the trading hours
1.A 19-member advisory committee of SEBI led by Jayanth R Varma is to discuss a proposal to extend the stock trading hours. 
2.Currently, the stock market works from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm but if these hours are extended to 7:30 pm then there can be better alignment of domestic trading with global markets.
 
 
Rafael Nadal wins the US open 2017 title
1.Rafael Nadal (Spain) won the 2017 US Open title in men’s single category for his 16th grand slam title.

2.He defeated Kevin Anderson from South Africa.The other category winners are Jean-Julien Rojer from Netherlands and Horia Tecau won the Men’s Double Championship.Chan Yung-Jan Chinese Taipei and Martina Hingis from Switzerland won Women’s Double Championship.Martina Hingis from Switzerland and Jamie Murray from the UK won the Mixed Doubles Championship.
 
 India stands 5th at the Moscow shotgun world championship
1.Italy topped in the championship by winning nine gold medals and a total 17 medals in all.India got the fifth position in medals tally with one gold and two silver medals.
2.Gabrielle Rossetti and Diana Bacosi- The Olympic champions were titled world champions in this process.The USA stood second with five gold medals and the host Russia stood third.
