Deen Dayal SPARSH yojna launched for the promotion of Philately
1.Shri Manoj Sinha,the minister of Communications launched a Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana,all over India Scholarship for school children to promote the usage of stamps(philately).
2. A scholarship of Rs.6000/- per year or 500 per month will be provided to school students between classes VI to IX with a good academic record under the SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby) scheme.
Assam CM launched 647 schemes for development of the largest river island Manjuli
1.The Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal released 647 schemes involving an investment of Rs 24.57 crore for development of the world’s largest river island Majuli.
2.Out of these 199 schemes are under 14th Finance Commission and 448 schemes under MGNREGA.

1. The Balijatra Festival that is celebrated every year on the banks of river Mahanadi in Odisha was inaugurated by Health and Law Minister Pratap Jena at Gadagadia ghat.

Aditi Ashok,the 19 year old golfer won the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi and named the LET title after herself.
