December 15 to January 5: Parliament Winter Session
1.Rajnath Singh chaired the Parliamentary affairs Cabinet committee meeting. The winter session will be held between 15th December to 5th January.
2.The Parliamentary Affairs minister Ananth Kumar mentioned that the assembly elections and parliament session date should not intersect.
Nine movies nominated by IFFI for the ICFT UNESCO Gandhi Medal
1.Nine movies have been nominated by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for the International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (ICFT) UNESCO Gandhi Medal. Five out of nine films are from India.
2.The films from India are Poorna,Kshitij – A Horizon, Manusangada, Railway Children and Take-Off. The foreign films in the fray are Khibula – a co-production of France, Georgia and Germany ,Amok from Poland, The Last Painting from Taiwan and Women of The Weeping River – a joint production of the US and UK.
Government to set up Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti kendras in 115 districts
1.For facilitating skill development, employment, digital literacy, health, and nutrition, the government has planned to set up ‘Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti Kendras’ at 115 backward district centers.
2.Also, the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao has been expanded and now it will be covering 161 districts to 640 districts in the country.
The digital Signature campaign launched by the HRD ministry on the occasion of Constitution day
1. The Human Resources Development ministry has launched the digital signature campaign on Constitution day to raise awareness on fundamental duties.
