Educational Qualifications :

For AAM (ASI): i)Three year Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by Directorate General Civil Aviation; or Group ”X” Diploma issued by IAF. ii) Preferably two years relevant aviation experience after completion of diploma /course (to be prescribed from time to time).

For AARM (ASI): i) Three years Diploma recognized by Directorate General Civil Aviation in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering; or Group “X” Radio Diploma issued by IAF. ii) Preferably two years’ experience in maintenance/overhauling of communication/Navigation equipment fitted in Aircraft/Helicopter held by Border Security force (to be prescribed from time to time).

Type of Aircraft/ Helicopter:

i) For MI-17 IV/ALH/Dhruv: Candidates having qualifications/experience on MI-17 IV/MI- 17/MI-25-35 helicopters in the field of Instrument/Engine/ Airframe fitter trade AAM and Radio/ Radar trade for AARM

ii) For other Aircraft: Qualification/ experience on type of Aircraft (Embraer/Avro/Super king/ALH etc) in the trade of Mechanical fitter for AAM & Avionics fitter for AARM.


Application Fee : Rs. 50/- in the form of bank demand draft drawn in favour of DDO HQ DG BSF, payable at SBI Service Branch New Delhi code No. 7687. Howerer, SC/ ST, departmental candidates, Women and Ex-Servicemen are not required to remit examination fee.
